If you are drinking excessively, get into trouble when you drink, can’t stop when you know you have had enough, can’t remember what happened the night before and it is affecting your personal relationships or threatening your job then you may wish to do something about it. We offer a programme based on a combination the 12 steps programme for change, NLP (neuro linguistic programming) techniques, cognitive behaviour modification and Hypnotherapy using relaxation, visualisation and guided imagery. The programme is focussed on helping you to change attitudes, behaviours and negative thought patterns to get control over your emotions and develop confidence and self-belief. We use visualisation and creative imagery to accentuate the hazards of excessive drinking and emphasize the rewards gained by changing this behaviour. You will begin to take responsibility for the negative consequences caused by your excessive drinking and become willing to let go of blame, shame or self-pity and focus on solutions. Replacing the urge to drink with new healthy patterns of behaviour will enable you to handle stress or to socialise without the need to drink excessively and reinforce your determination to cut back or stop drinking altogether. |
