Panic attacks, anxiety or nervousness can occur whether the threat is real or imagined. The imagination is so powerful that even when we know that our reaction is irrational we still have an involuntary response. We’ve all cried, laughed or been terrified while watching a film even though we know it is not real. In fact we react emotionally to dreams or simulations in the same way as a real external threat. Suddenly you are startled or anxious when you perceive a threat. You may experience a choking sensation, nausea, trembling, or hot flashes. In some cases the discomfort can be so extreme that you may imagine you are suffering from a heart attack. Our approach will help you change your illogical perceptions so that your anxiety disappears and is replaced with a calm, confident and happy disposition. |
